Stupid Prioritization

This weekend, Lollapalooza descends upon the city of Chicago for another 3-days of festival goodness.

And for the first time in 4 years, we're not going. Something about saving money for a wedding and honeymoon or something like that.

In fact, we've been to no summer music festivals this summer.

Le sigh. To have everything would be to go into debt. We wouldn't want that now, would we?

Same here. But I have been to a few street festivals (Taste of Randolph, Wicker Park Fest, etc) this summer, and it's a nice, cheap way to see live music and get that festival vibe.

I feel for you ... and I am impressed. I would have taken the money from something else. But I will think of you the next time I am tempted to spend money on a concert and I will try to be strong.

it's cool that you're staying strong. in your shoes, i might have given in. :O

best wishes on the wedding and honeymoon. :) time flies, months and years have an almost disconcerting way of evaporating... what you're saving for will arrive soon enough.
