Cheap Sex

Sex is fun, and even more so when it's cheap. We use the birth control pill to stay safe and get giftcards. Yep, giftcards! A lot of pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Dominick's, Target, and Kmart are some in our area) are in competition with each other and are offering coupons for a free gift card (ranging from $10 to $25) with each new or transferred prescription you fill at their pharmacy. The coupons come in weekly mailings, the Sunday paper, and coupons that print with your receipt. If you can't find them you can always buy them on ebay for a couple bucks each. So every month we refill my prescription at a different store and earn a giftcard for that store. In the last year we've accumulated over $200 in giftcards from my prescription purchases! Cheap sex rocks.

That is the most creative way to acquire gift cards that I have ever heard. Now you got me thinking! I'm going to check out Walmart, Target and CVS and see if I can take advantage of that one with my kid's ADD meds. (Horrible isn't it!)

Interesting, I'll have to keep my eye out for these flyers!

my coworker used to do this until the insurance company called and told her to stop the monthly transfers. I didn't get into the specifics of what the insurance co said, but have you heard of anyone else facing this?

Why not see if an IUD would work for Her? Paragard is hormone free, 97% effective and can be left in for up to 10 years - no more prescription costs. Her medical plan may even cover the cost of the device.

Wow. If I go on the pill, I'll keep your advice in mind. That's a brilliant strategy! I wonder if this would work with my looney pills.

In response to comment about the IUD:

I don't know about other women, but I certainly do not want a foreign body in my uterus, especially not for any length of time. Plus, I don't want to have to deal with the hassle of checking my own vuh-jay-jay every month for a string to be sure it hasn't become embedded or expelled.

I personally love the pill. "Aunt Flo" is scheduled to visit on Mondays. So, she's always gone by Friday. I don't need her cramping my style on the weekends. LOL I never let her come on vacation with me either! With my prescription plan it costs me $10 for a 3 months supply. $3.33/month is pretty cheap. If I transfer more frequently I'll be making money.

Have you gone back to a pharmacy you've visited before and still received a gift card?
